Bail Applications

If a person is in custody and waiting for the court process to begin, it is extremely important to apply for bail to the court. A bail is when a person in custody is released by the court. Generally it is harder to get bail for more serious offences where the court finds that a person might be a risk to the community at large. The court may also put bail conditions like reporting to the nearest police station or not engaging with a group of people whilst on bail. A person has to comply to the bail conditions. A breach of any of the bail conditions could result in bail being revoked and imprisonment.
